If Eyes Could See

If eyes could see the Prince of Peace
That day of humble birth,
If eyes could see His Mother’s face
Holding Him, Child of Grace,
If eyes cold see Him heal the blind
And set the pris’ner free
Their eyes would surely see the Lord -
That like Him they should be

If eyes could see the Love of Christ,
So often left untold
If eyes could see His nail-pierced hands,
His riven side outpoured
If eyes could see His majesty -
The Son of God, my friend
Their eyes would surely see the Truth
Their knees before Him bend

If eyes could see the Risen Lord,
Who triumphed over death
If eyes could see Him glorified,
Walking that rugged path
If eyes could see His outstretched hands
To friends who doubt His love
Their eyes would surely see the life
They should live for Christ above

We are the eyes of the people
The eyes of blinded man
It should be our life’s ambition
To show them His great Plan.
We are the eyes of the people,
Of souls who need to see.
His Sacrifice put forth for them-
When He died on the tree
