Thoughts Over Leftover Mac 'n Cheese

There are many thoughts that come to mind with the word "leftovers." To some people it has a negative connotation to others it is a positive one. To the poor man who digs through the trash, leftovers, are life. To a rich man who visits his poor family members and they serve him leftover mac 'n cheese, leftovers, are cheap. To me, someone who thinks leftover pizza is one of the best comfort foods, leftovers are delicious.

There are many ways the word leftover can be used. Maybe you're always the last one chosen when they are picking teams for volleyball, or you are the last one in your class to get asked to homecoming. Sometimes we can feel like the leftovers in a negative sense if we look at ourselves through the eyes of others.

It is easy to let the opinions of others dictate who we are. Remember that what really matters is who you are in the sight of God. If you have accepted Christ's gift of salvation, then you are His child, and when He looks at you, He does not see leftovers. He sees the righteousness of His Son, and He sees your weaknesses as strengths.

So, next time you eat leftover mac 'n cheese, take a moment to consider who you are in the sight of God.
