Vitamin D-3 research

Being pregnant has been a new and interesting happening in my life. Having already been interested in medical research, being pregnant has spurred me on to new avenues of research. I had to find out what I should be taking, what will help me stay healthy, etc.

What started my interest in vitamin D-3 was the H1N1 vaccine. I had heard alot of bad things about it, but yet everyone said it should be taken. I also heard that there was a possibility of D-3 being helpful in warding off the flu itself.

My research led me to a study done a couple of years ago by a Dr. Bruce Hollis as well as a couple of other doctors. Their study was on pregnant women and their need for D-3 during pregnancy. I emailed the doctor and he advised me to take 4,000 IU of vitamin D-3. The study had proven that it helps pregnant women avoid preterm labor as well as infections. Below are the links that will give you more information on this issue.
